Shelly Wetzel Director Shelly brings 32 years of professional experience in education to Country Children's House. With a degree in Elementary Education and teaching experience in both public and parochial classrooms, she strongly endorses Montessori education. She will begin her 29th year with Country Children's House, 27th year as Director and owner. Becky Christman Young 5's Becky has a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Master's degree in teaching. She has 7 years of classroom experience, as well as 2 years of homeschooling her own children and substitute teaching in the public school & at CCH. This will be her 4th year teaching the Young 5's class. All 3 of her children are CCH graduates, and 2 attended the Young 5's program. Laura McNamara Laura has a BS in Biology as well as her Montessori certification and will begin her 22nd year as a classroom teacher. Laura has had two children attend Country Children's House. (Her daughter is a CCH Kindergarten graduate).
Teresa Hogan Language Arts & Practical Life and Co-Director Teresa holds degrees in both Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. She began her teaching career as a preschool director then went on to teach Kindergarten and first grade in the public school setting. As Teresa begins her 7th year teaching with us at CCH and 2nd year as Co-Director, she brings with her 19 years of elementary, early childhood, and special education teaching experience. Her youngest son is a CCH preschool & kindergarten graduate.
Stacy Russell Language Arts & Practical Life, and Science & Geography Stacy has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Ball State University. She brings 29 years of experience working with children, including the classroom setting, assistant Director in several programs and running an in-home daycare. This will be her 8th year teaching at CCH.
Tammy Ruhl Art & Music Tammy lives in Noblesville with her husband & has 2 grown children. Tammy brings 20 years of experience working with children in the Noblesville and Hamilton Southeastern school districts, homeschooling her daughter and working in the children's area at Hamilton East Public Library. She has worked at CCH as a substitute teacher in the classrooms and Lunch Bunch for 15 years. This will be her 4th year teaching art & music. Tammy's youngest is a CCH preschool & kindergarten graduate.
Cathy Kring Science & Geography Cathy has her Montessori certification and a bachelor's degree in special education. She brings 18 years of teaching experience in various settings and will begin her 11th year teaching at CCH. Her favorite thing about being a teacher is making learning fun. Kids are naturally curious and creative, and she fosters the love of learning and play into her lessons. Cathy's youngest daughter is a preschool and Kindergarten graduate of CCH.
